Simply Sarah

Hi friends from around the globe—my name is Whoopsie Daisy. You can call me "Whoops" for short!

If I could, I'd travel some place new every week. I'd pack up my family and off we'd go! We'd see new sights and smell new scents and make new friends. But recently, my travel schedule has been curtailed due to the arrival of some new people puppies. They pull my ears sometimes but it's ok because they drop a lot of food and always have time to pet me.

So these days I'm keeping close to home to watch over my beloved little bipeds. But I miss my vagabond days and turn to you to bring me news of the world. If you've taken an especially dog-friendly day trip or overnight excursion, please post your stories here. I'll use this information to create a website where dogs and their traveling companions can research and plan the perfect, pet-friendly family getaway.

And who knows—when the kids get a little older, maybe I'll see you there!

Viking Hotel, Newport, RI

Aside from the room being terribly cramped it was a lovely stay. the cobbled roads and side streets gave us plenty to explore and my daughter is always more pleasant when her dog-sister is around to keep her occupied!

Red Dog B & B, Madera PA

My husband and I wanted to by the place! Though it was an unsupervised b&b we were left a delicous breakfast of eggs, bacon and homemade apple cake. The curators were lovely people and to my children's delight left out all of their grandchildren's toys to play with.

Sarah's Signature Teaching Lead

Imagine a stylish belt that does double duty as your dog’s leash: that’s the concept behind Sarah's patented Teaching Lead®, which lets you walk your dog with hands-free convenience. This leash is equally handy outdoors as in, where it can actually take the place of a crate when you’re home to encourage good canine behavior throughout the day. Both nylon and leather versions come with an instuctional booklet that describes its many uses. During a dog’s puppyhood, building a strong bond between you is critical, and the Teaching Lead® promotes that closeness by joining you two together at the hip - literally as well as figuratively.

Sarah's Media Appearances

When I'm not teaching dogs, I'm talking dogs! I've appeared on all major TV networks,
passionately advocating for dogs everywhere. I've covered pet adoption, puppy selection and aggression rehabilitation.
