Summary

Responsible for fostering and ensuring a safe, engaging work environment resulting in efficient execution of store operations and unrivaled customer experience.

Principle Accountabilities

May include, but not limited to, the following:

• Leads DOGPerfect’s mission, core values, vision and strategy every day.
• Performs required duties when scheduled as an associate.
• Nurtures a culture of diversity and inclusion while creating an engaging environment.
• Ensure safety and security of pets, customers, associates, and other visitors.
• Ensures the well-being of pets in our care.
• Opening and closing of the store as needed.
• Cash office management as needed.
• Follows all company policies and procedures.

Leadership responsibilities

When assigned, supervises up to 15 (non-supervisory) associates. Carries out leadership responsibilities in accordance with DOGPerfect’s policies and procedures.

Certification

Certified Pet Food Nutrition Specialist (Nutrition course through DNM University provided upon hire)

The department lead must frequently lift and or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally team lift and or move in excess of 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include depth perception. Exposure to live animals and they’re handling is common.
